My snake, stetched out alongside the wall so he can size up the door to eat it.
But no, seriously— snakes look so weird when they’re stretched out.

I’m going to be harpooned for this, but this snake is obese.

That’s why it looks so weird! It would be cool to see a post all about obesity in reptiles or birds, I imagine it’s difficult or some owners to recognize.

If you refer to my various posts on my blog in response to theexoticvet’s inaccurate response, you will understand that my snake is NOT obese and is NOT overweight, and that he is completely healthy. Thank you.

For the few asks I received involving this picture: this snake is not obese. Blood pythons are much heavier snakes and do grow very large width-wise compared to a corn snake or a ball python.

ARE WE GONNA IGNORE THE FACT THATS THERES JUST A SNAKE THERE LIKE WTFSHD I FEEL LIKE IM GONNA GET BIT AN IM STARING AT IT THROUGH A COMPUTER

Aw… That’s not a very positive attitude! I can assure you that snake bites aren’t that scary, they’re little pinpricks and hardly hurt. Additionally: Simca doesn’t bite. He’s a sweetheart.

what a cute little sentient sausage :3

Wait so is this snake obese or not?

No. He is not obese.
